Environmental Authorisations
We assist our customers to obtain environmental authorisations for their projects, expansions or developments through either Basic Assessments or Scoping and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes in terms of the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) EIA Regulations – Listing Notices 1, 2 & 3.
Water Use Authorisations
Water Use Authorisations are applied for in terms of Section 21 of the National Water Act. Either Water Use Licences (WULA) or General Authorisations (GA) can be applied for, dependent on the specific water use.

Auditing and ECO Responsibilities
Several auditing functions are performed by trained and experienced auditors. These include:
- Environmental Control Officer Responsibilities
- Routine auditing of environmental authorisations (WULA, WML, AEL, etc.)
- Auditing of Environmental Management Systems
- Drafting of audit checklists for internal use
Environmental Management Programmes
We provide assistance in the drafting and implementation of Environmental Management Programmes (EMPs). These are required by authorities (and municipalities) to manage environmental impacts during constructions and developments. Sometimes EMPs form part of EIA documentation, but they can also be stand-alone documents when EIAs are not required.
Environmental Management Frameworks
An Environmental Management Framework (EMF) is a tool that can be used to support informed decisions regarding impacts arising from developments. These are drafted compliant to the National Environmental Management Act EMF Regulations in terms of Section 24 J of NEMA.
Environmental Management Systems
We assist with the establishment of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) compliant to ISO 14001:2015. Our services include the drafting of supporting documentation.

Engineering and Design Solutions

Capacity Building of State Organs and Training Solutions
Capacity building to equip relevant officers to identify and manage environmental sensitive receptors within their jurisdiction in order to give effect to Section 24 of the Constitution. To enable competent authorities to practically manage and enforce environmental legislative requirements and to bridge the gap in interpretation of regulations.
Project Management
Project management services through the whole life cycle of environmental projects are rendered. This includes the feasibility phase through to construction/installation.
Section 24 G Rectifications
Unauthorised commencement or continuation of activities identified in terms of the Environment Impact Assessment regulations can be rectified by means of an application to the Minister or relevant MEC, depending on who will be the competent authority for such authorisation in accordance with the current delegations, in terms of Section 24G of NEMA.
We assist with the application and management of such Section 24 G rectifications.
